A Mild Steel Socket Weld Union is a high-strength, forged pipe fitting used in piping systems where frequent disassembly and reassembly are required. Designed for secure, leak-proof connections in high-pressure environments, this union allows two pipe sections to be joined together and separated without disturbing the rest of the pipeline. It is specifically constructed using mild steel, which offers good mechanical properties, weldability, and cost-effectiveness.

1. Material – Mild Steel

• Constructed from low-carbon steel (typically ASTM A105 or equivalent).

• Offers excellent machinability, moderate strength, and good ductility.

• Suitable for use in non-corrosive to mildly corrosive environments.

• Can be coated, galvanized, or painted for added corrosion resistance.

2. Socket Weld Connection

• Features a female socket into which the pipe end is inserted.
